TNAU Admission 2024-25 | Last Date, Application Form, Eligibility

TNAU Admission 2024-25: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has started the admission for postgraduate and Doctoral courses. The last date to submit the PG and PhD application forms was 06 June 2024 for TNAU Admission 2024-25. Students who want to pursue their higher education from any of the 73 programs offered by the university must ensure that they meet the specific eligibility criteria set by the university. In addition, the admission will be given based on the TNAU entrance exam which will be conducted on 23 June 2024. 

The university will be offering the UG programs only if the candidates appear and qualify in the entrance exam conducted by ICAR. Some of the courses offered by the university are B.Tech. (Bioinformatics), M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agricultural Extension Education, Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sericulture, etc. The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University was established in 1868, which continued to be the only institute for agricultural studies in South India. Candidates who want to make a career in the agriculture field get a variety of options at this university, as it provides 14 UG, 33 PG, and 28 PhD programs covering all the aspects of agriculture.

The university has 40 research stations, which serve as an important source for all the students enrolled in any PhD program at the university. Students should be aware that the university will be implementing NEP 2020 Guidelines from the academic year 2024-25. According to the guidelines, the duration of UG programs at the university will be extended to 4 years. It is advised to the students to check the prospectus of the university and put special focus on the NEP guidelines before applying. The university will also be introducing the credit-based system in all of its UG programs.

TNAU Admission 2024-25

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University admission is open for the Master's and Doctoral programs through the entrance exam. 06 June 2024 was the last date to submit the filled online application form for TNAU Admission 2024-25. After the registration process has been completed the University will conduct the entrance exam on 23 June 2024 for all PG and PhD programs. Interested students can apply to the university's official website - @tnau.ac.in.

Students who are based in Tamil Nadu will not have to appear in the entrance exams; they can directly appear in the counselling round at the university. The university has also set the application fees for various UG, PG, and Doctoral programs to INR 500-1000, depending on the category a student belongs to. BSc (Hons.) Sericulture, MSc (Community Science) in Food and Nutrition,  BTech (Energy and Environmental Engineering), etc.

TNAU UG Admission 2024-25

Admission process is going on at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University for all undergraduate courses for the academic session 2024-25. The deadline to submit the online application form was 31 July 2024. There are 14 UG programs that the TNAU offers in the specializations of various courses like BSc and BTech. The admission process at TNAU for the 2024-25 academic session has begun now.

Students who have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board, with at least 55%, are eligible for admission to the UG programs at the university. Some of the UG courses that an eligible student can pursue are BTech (Energy and Environmental Engineering), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Bioinformatics), BSc (Hons.) Sericulture, etc. 

TNAU PG Admission 2024-25

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Postgraduate Admission has started for the academic year 2024-25. The deadline to submit the application form at TNAU for the PG program was 06 June 2024. The applicants can submit the application form online by visiting the official website @tnau.ac.in. Students who have a relevant bachelor's degree can pursue any PG program as per their preference at the university.

There are 32 PG programs that a student can pursue at the university. A few of those 35 PG programs include MSc (Agriculture) in Bioinformatics, MTech (Agricultural Engineering) in Processing and Food Engineering, MSc (Community Science) in Food and Nutrition, etc. Students who are interested in pursuing any PG programs must qualify in a relevant entrance exam scheduled to be conducted on 23 June 2024 or appear in the counselling round, depending on their state of residence. The selection list for the 2024-25 academic session admission will be published on 30 August 2024.

TNAU PhD Admission 2024-25

PhD programs are offered at TNAU in multiple specializations of  Agriculture. Admission to the university's PhD programs is currently ongoing for the academic session of 2024-25. The last date to submit the application form for TNAU PhD admission 2024 was 6 June 2024. Students can enroll in any of the 28 Doctoral programs offered at the university, which include PhD in Agricultural Extension Education, PhD in Plant Pathology, PhD in Nematology, etc.

Students who have a relevant master's degree and have qualified in ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF are eligible for the Doctoral programs offered by the university. The university will have a credit-based system with a total of 100 credits; 75 of these credits will be entirely dedicated to the candidate's thesis.
