Patna University Admission 2025-26: Admission for the academic session was opened for the 2025-26 session at Patna University. 31 January 2025* will be the last date for Patna University PG admission 2025, and the applicants can fill out the registration form online at @pup.ac.in. The university grants admission to aspiring students based on their scores on qualifying examinations and, for some courses, their scores on the entrance exam conducted by the university.

The university offers various programs through the 8 faculties. The university offers various UG, PG, PG Diploma, PhD, Diploma, UG Advance Diploma, and certificate courses; some of these courses include BCom, BSc, Diploma in Public Relations, MBA, BCA, Post Graduate Diploma in Yogic Science, etc.

Situated in the state of Bihar, Patna University was established on 1 October 1917. The university has 10 constituent colleges and has designed over 30 departments in total. It is the first university to be established in Bihar and one of the 7 oldest universities in India. The university has been recognized by UGC and accredited a B+ by NAAC. It has a computerized library that has access to over 4,00,000+ books, 87 periodicals, more than 5,000 rare manuscripts, and many more. 

Patna University has introduced all the necessary changes to the curriculum framework for the implementation of the NEP 2020 Guidelines. It has extended the duration of the UG programs to 4 years and introduced credit-based systems to all the UG programs. Students enrolled at the university will also have to create their ABC ID on the Digilocker application.

Patna University UG Admission 2025-26

Patna University will commence soon admission for Undergraduate courses for the 2025-26 academic session, and the applicants can apply through the official website @pup.ac.in. Students must hold 10+2 in any specialization to be eligible for the Patna University UG admission 2025. Application forms can be submitted at the university's official portal. Patna University Admission 2025 last date will be 31 January 2025*. 

The university grants admission to the UG programs mostly based on the applicant’s merit in their qualifying examination, except for the  LLB and BFA programs. Students who wish to pursue any of the mentioned 2 courses must appear in the entrance exam conducted by the university. Some of the UG courses that the candidates can pursue at the university are BA, BCom, BFA, LLB, BSc, BCA, BBA, etc.

Patna University offers various Postgraduate courses like MBA, MSc, MSW, etc for the academic session 2025-26. Patna University PG admission 2025 is based on the entrance examination conducted by the university at a PG level. 31 January 2025* will be the deadline to complete the registration process. Patna University admission 2025 application fee is INR 1100. Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and have scored at least 45% (relevant degree with honors) or 55% (degree with allied subjects) are eligible to pursue any PG program at the university.

For all the regular PG courses (except MEd, LLM, and Master of PM and IR), the candidates’ merit is considered. However, for all the self-financed PG courses, like MBA, MSW, MSc (Biotechnology), etc., the university conducts an entrance exam for admission.
