BHU PhD Admission 2024-25: Entrance Exam, Last Date, Eligibility

BHU PhD Admission 2024-25: Banaras Hindu University will open the admission portal for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) course. 30 November 2024 will be the BHU PhD admission last date. Students who have all the required qualifications and now want to get a doctoral degree can apply for BHU Admission for PhD courses online. Students should note that for the current session, BHU has released a notification stating that this year no entrance exam will be conducted at the university. Rather, applicants will be granted PhD admission directly on the basis of external PhD entrance tests like UGC NET and others. 

Students can register online at @bhu.ac.in with a registration fee of INR 600. Candidates who are willing to pursue their PhD degree programme from BHU must ensure to register before the last date by visiting the official website of NTA. The candidates need to appear in the BHU Ph.D. Entrance Exams, any candidate who fails to show up for the entrance exams will not be considered eligible for the BHU Ph.D. Admission.

BHU PhD Admission 2024-25

BHU offers PhD admission for the 2024-25 academic session, and the registration process for admission will announced soon. The deadline to submit the application form for BHU PhD Admission 2024-25 will be 15 November 2024*. The students can apply for admission online by visiting the University's official website. BHU PhD Admission 2024 will be done based on two entrance exams first BHU RET and Second, UGC/CSIR NET Examinations. The registration process for both entrance exams will start soon, and the applicants will be able to register via the official web portal.

Candidates are required to submit the online application form which is released by the National Testing Agency on their official website. Candidates who fail to submit the application form before the last date will not be able to appear for the entrance examination. The candidates must appear for the PhD entrance examination conducted for BHU PhD Admission 2024. This examination will help the institute to shortlist the top candidates who will be allowed admission to the research-level degree programme.

To appear for the RET 2024 examination and get BHU PhD Admission 2024 for the academic year 2024-25, students are required to register for the examination on the university's website. To fill out the form, follow the steps given below:

BHU Integrated PhD-MPhil Admission 2024

Banaras Hindu University offers admission to the integrated PhD-MPhil, and MPhil degree programmes through a Research Entrance test (RET 2024). The online application form submission will be invited very soon for BHU Integrated PhD and MPhil admission 2024 at @bhu.ac.in. 15 November 2024* will be the last date of BHU Integrated Ph.D.-MPhil Admission 2024.

Students who are willing to opt for BHU PhD Admission 2024 along with the M.Phil degree programme must register and appear for the RET Entrance Examination which is soon going to be conducted by the university. Candidates willing to opt for BHU PhD Admission 2024 with an M.Phil programme should have completed their Masters's Degree programme in a related field with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a UGC-approved institute.

BHU PhD Direct Admission 2024

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) also offers direct admission to the PhD and M.Phil degree programmes which are offered by the university. However, the candidates must fulfill several eligibility criteria for them to be considered for direct admission to the research programmes. The students who are offered BHU PhD Admission 2024 in the direct mode will not be required to appear for the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2024. These students will be offered admission based on their marks in the qualifying examinations or other national-level entrance examinations for the research programmes.

A candidate who fulfills one of the following criteria may be considered for direct admission to the BHU PhD course.

• Candidates who have qualified for national-level tests like NET-JRF, GATE, SLET, and NET-LS.
• Candidates who are a recipient of National Doctoral Fellowship or other fellowships from government/semi-government organizations.
• A candidate who is selected under the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of AICTE.

BHU PhD Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Banaras Hindu University offers PhD Admission to only those students who fulfill certain criteria which are set by the university. Admission to the PhD program will be granted based on the UGC, CSIR NET scores for the 2024-25 academic session. Students failing to fulfill the eligibility criteria will not be considered for admission to the PhD programme offered by BHU. BHU PhD Admission 2024 requires the candidates to fulfill the following criteria.

• Candidates should have completed their Master's Degree in the field in which they want to pursue the PhD programme.
• Candidates should have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates should have completed their Master's Degree from a UGC-approved institute.

BHU PhD Entrance Exam 2024-25

Banaras Hindu University will be offering admission to the PhD programme considering the marks scored by the candidates in the Research Entrance Test (RET) 2024. BHU PhD Admission will be made based on the UGC NET entrance exam for the 2024-25 session, and the registration has been completed. Candidates can visit the official website at PhD-entrance.samarth.ac.in to submit the online application form.

• The RET 2024 examination will have two components for the evaluation of the performance of the students.
• Test A will be based on Subject Knowledge, Assessment of Logical and Analytical Capability, and Research Methodology.
• Test B will cover a Personal Interview to test aptitude for research.
• The minimum qualifying mark required to score in RET is 215 marks.
