IGNOU MED Admission 2025-26: Indira Gandhi National Open University does not offer MEd courses admission to the 2025-26 academic session. IGNOU has started the admission procedure for all the UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate courses for 2025-26 session. The applicants need to pay INR 300 as an application form fee for admission. IGNOU admission 2025-26 for the Master of Education (MEd) course takes a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years time period to complete the course. It is an educational course that deals with teaching training. This course was started in June 2009 and It was NCTE-approved. This course was available for students who have one year of teaching experience along with an IGNOU BEd degree from any recognized board of education. The students interested in this course can take admission through the entrance exam at all Indian levels.
Those students Who wish to apply for the M.Ed course from IGNOU 2025 must meet the basic eligibility criteria requirement before applying for admission to the M.Ed course from IGNOU 2025. The candidates must have basic eligibility criteria of having an Undergraduate degree with at least 55% marks from an UGV Approved University and the students should also have experience in teaching in a government-recognized school for the candidate to be eligible for applying for for the M.Ed course from IGNOU 2025.

IGNOU MEd Admission Form 2025-26
IGNOU Admission form submission has been started for the January academic session 2025-26. MEd course is not offered by the IGNOU. In previous sessions, the university used to offer MEd admission, and the application forms were released on the official website. However, for the offered courses IGNOU Admission Form 2025-26 last date is 31 January 2025 and the re-registration form deadline for the previous year's students is 31 January 2025. In many remote areas of India where the internet does not support there, students can fill out offline forms. They can collect it from the nearest IGNOU centers. Students who want to do a master's in Education can fill out its online form before its last date.

Indira Gandhi National Open University released the Online application at the university official website @ignou.ac.in. The last date to submit the online application is 31 January 2025. IGNOU MEd Application Process

- The application form for admission to IGNOU MBA is released by the university on its official website - @ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Students can register for admission to the course by filling out the form.

- In the application form, the applicants will have to upload multiple documents that are listed by the university as compulsory for admission.
- All the documents should be uploaded after properly scanning them. The size of the scanned image should not exceed the maximum size limit asked.
- Pay the application fee by selecting the link for fee payment. The payment can be done either online (net banking, credit card, debit card) or by offline mode (bank E-challan, demand draft).
- Download the confirmation details for the fee payment and the form submission for future use.
IGNOU MEd Entrance exam
Indira Gandhi National Open University M.Ed Application form open for the academic session 2025-26. The last date will announced soon then, the IGNOU MEd entrance exam will not be conducted after registration because the university does not grant admission based on any test. IGNOU University won't take the entrance exam for the Master of Education program.
IGNOU M.ED Admission Fees
The last date for the submission of the application fee for admission to the IGNOU MEd course has been released by the university. The applicants would have to pay an amount of INR 300/- in the process of submitting the application form for the general category students and other reserved categories such as SC, ST, etc., students need to pay INR 200/-. IGNOU provides the option to the student to pay the application fee semester-wise or yearly mode. If the applicant is interested in paying the course fee semester-wise, then they will be paying INR 8750/-, and for the yearly pattern, they will pay INR 18,000/-. The total IGNOU M.Ed fee will be Rs.36,000/- for the entire program of two years. The total fee is to be paid at the time of admission.
Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU MED Admission
MEd from IGNOU is not possible, as UGC has not approved the Master of Education course in Distance Education. Students must hold a BEd degree from an authorized university with a minimum 50% of aggregate marks. The M.Ed. program of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE. NCTE recognized teacher education institutions in the country. NCTE regulations were announced in March 2010 and scored 50% marks.
IGNOU M.ED Admission: Reservation The Central Government/ State Government rules the reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories. There will be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates.
